NUESTROS PROYECTOS
En el año 2000 Ecotrackers se planteó desarrollar sus proyectos mediante trayectos que permitieran agrupar a las comunidades por un elemento común, el objetivo era aunar los esfuerzos de una comunidad con los esfuerzos de otras para crear paquetes más interesantes y que dieran una mayor comprensión a los visitantes de los que estábamos haciendo y pensando en que podía ser interesante hacer un recorrido en lugar estar en un lugar, así las ventajas desarrolladas por una de las comunidades era el gancho para capturar el turismo hacia las demás , prolongaba la visita de los turistas y repartía los ingresos. La propuesta partía de un Centro de information y estos eran nuestros planes explicados en nuestra página web www.ecotrackers.8m.net

** Ecotourism Biological and Cultural Information CenterThe Center of Information about Ecotourism has a special focus on eco-communitary tourism and Biological and Cultural protection in Ecuador.The center of this work is in Quito at 2nd floor at the Avenida Amazonas No. 21-217 and Roca St., but we collect information and work in all parts of Ecuador. The Objectives of the center are: 1. To give information.2. To prepare human resources3. To make publicity for the communities4. To build organizations in the communities5. To help to sell products from their activities** Sendero de la Paz: from Sangay National Park to the Amazon RiverIt has 6.000 ha. It's between Morona and Chimborazo provinces. It is protected by UNESCO as Humanity Biological Patrimony. Our main community is Santa Ines (Shuar community) at 1000m above sea level in the subtropical amazon jungle.Sendero de la Paz is a project to develop the eco-communitary tourism the protection of the environment and the native cultures. In this area was the war between Ecuador vs. Peru was in 1995 and surrounded areas, at Macas Province (amazon jungle) and Chimborazo Province (Andes region).Actions/Objectives:1. To build a track to Sangay Volcanoe from the Amazonian Region and to develop the eco-communitary tourism in the Sangay National Park as a system to protect the nature and the Shwar Culture.2. To build a border pass between Ecuador and Peru at the Morona River, to develop the tourist transit and the eco-communitary tourism in this area as a system to protect the Morona River Ecological Reserve. 3. To connect The Galapagos Islands, the Coast and the Ecuadorian Andes with the Amazon River by the Morona River to obtain the most important corridor of biodiversity of the world.
** El Sendero del Oro: From the Ilinizas to Chiguilpe Indians Tzachila community by a track near the Sarapullo riverThis project tries to protect the Ilinizas Ecological Reserve of 140.000 Ha. It is situated in the cloud forest and gives home to the Tzachila culture. The area includes a big waterfall called El Salto de Atahulpa and the archeological ruins of the Maines of the King.Actions/Objectives:1. To build an experimental high school, a research center of sustainable development for studying the production of medicinal plants, esencial oils, orchids, tropical ornamental plants, natural water and ecotourism. 2.To build a track to the Ilinizas volcanoes and Quilotoa Lake 3. To develop a protection program against the reforestation and protection of the Tzachila culture.
** Caminos de los Incas: Ecuadorian Paramos This project tries to develop a track in the Paramos connecting some of the most interesting places in Camino de los Incas. We are working in the Cayambe-Coca National Reserve, Quilotoa, Sangay National Park Sangay, Guamote and in the Canari Paramo. Actions/Objectives:1. Refugee in Ilinizas Mountain (Ilinizas Ecological Reserve)2. Refugee in La Chimba (Cayambe-Coca Ecological Reserve)3. Quiloto Eco-communitary project4. Atillo Lake- Cebadas Eco-communitary Project ** Sendero de la Libertad: Ecological Reserve Cayapas Mataje and National Park Cotacachi CayapasIn this area the Black People and the Indians never were slaves, they were always the owners of their own territory. The Cayapas Mataje Ecological Reserve is an area of mangrove islands and the Cotachachi-Cayapas National Park is an area of jungle and 3 important rivers: Santiago River, Cayapas River and Ozole River. Here is big destruction of the nature for the tropical wood explotation.The actions are: 1. Ecological tourist village near La Tolita2. Promotion of the Tigrillos village in the Cayapas River
** Napo-Galera projectThe Napo-Galeras National Park is a special area in the Amazonian Region. Napo province is helped developed by the German Cooperation GTZ. Actions/Objectives:In this project we help with the national and international promotion** OPIP Project: Pastaza Amazonian JungleThis project is to develop the OPIP (Organizacion de Pueblos Indigenas de Pastaza) organization in the Pastaza Provice. We worked with them for 2 years and now we help only with the providing of tourist and selling the tourist pockets.
** La playa de los Cholos: Dry forest project: ManglaraltoThis project works in the Peninsula of Santa Elena and around the Machalilla Park. In this place there is an ancient Indian culture of sailors called Cholos with influence at the coast of Peru and Ecuador.
** Central University Project: training in Eco-communitary tourismEcotrackers helps to the University in the practice of English conversation, eco-communitary tourism in our areas and the exchange of teachers.
